Tregarrick, Restronguet Point
Initial Site Inspection & Detailed Structural Engineering Design
Form was instructed for two stages of the redevelopment of this 1960’s split level bungalow at Restronguet Point. Provisionally we attended site to inspect the property to confirm if it was feasible to create a new opening in the existing walls.
Secondly, we were further instructed for the detailed structural engineering works to support the redevelopment which included the addition of a new dormer, balcony, rooflight and make some internal changes to the stairs and an additional load bearing wall.
The architects design will provide the clients with a contemporary home with a more modern and simplistic exterior. The property alterations and engineering works will allow them to reconfigure the space on the ground and first floors.
The project is currently on site with completion in April 2024.
How can Form help?
Whether you will need a structural engineer for your next renovation project will depend on the nature of your plans, but they are often required for solar panel installation, beam calculations, loft conversions, door and window modification, internal wall changes, underpinning, and chimney removal. Essentially, any project that alters the structure of the building or requires building control approval will require the expertise of a structural engineer.
Contact Form and we can help advise you on your project.
