Working in conjunction with Planning & Architectural Practice Laurence Associates, Form was instructed from the projects infancy. Soon after the client had acquired the site one of our engineers attended the project to investigate the potential to construct a replacement dwelling. In conjunction with the initial site visit we also reviewed the clients preliminary re-construction plans to advise whether the scheme posed any planning issues with the LPA.
Once planning drawings had been prepared by Laurence Associates and the scheme discussed with the architects, Form were further instructed to assist with all aspects of the structural engineering works required for the redevelopment of the site.
The replacement dwelling which will be a reversed style living layout hosts an open plan kitchen and spacious living/dining area on the ground floor, it also features a direct connection to an external timber terrace and entertaining area. Also on this floor, is a shower room with WC, and a practical boot/utility room. A feature stair sits centrally in the space lit by a generous rooflight above. The stair leads to the first floor which incorporates a master bedroom with a linked dressing room, study and ensuite bathroom, as well as two additional bedrooms, one with an ensuite, and a separate bathroom. An external bridge connection also joins this floor to allow access to the raised garden and path to the rear of the site.
The project is currently on site with an estimated completion date of November 2024.
